DON’T MISS: Nuns on the loose in Lonehill

LONEHILL – Lonehill will soon be overrun by singing nuns when the children of Crawford College Lonehill take to the stage to put on a production of Sister Act.

A group of talented students ranging from grades 8 to 12 will take to the school stage at Crawford College Lonehill in May to perform the highly acclaimed Broadway musical, Sister Act.

This toe-tapping, sing-along story follows disco diva Deloris Van Cartier who is forced into protective custody at a convent after she witnesses a murder, orchestrated by her thug boyfriend, Curtis Jackson. Here, she has to disguise herself as a nun, as well as follow the conservative rules implemented by the intimidating mother superior.

Rebellious Deloris then finds herself in charge of the convent’s poorly-led choir, which brings her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the sisters, unfortunately blowing her cover.

The show runs on the 16, 17 and 18 May and begins at 7pm.

Tickets were made available from 7 May at R80 or R100 per person. A gala evening on the final night will include a three-course meal at R220 per person.
