Domestics learn 33 ways to organize small things

FOURWAYS – Domestic workers got some helpful tips for storage, and the February winner of Domestic of the Month was handed over prize at the latest Domestic Workers Networking meeting at Hirsch's.

Hirschs Fourways had the pleasure of having Adele Guthrie, owner of Meet your Maid explain 33 nifty ideas to use everyday items in and around the home to help organise and neaten everything without huge cash outlays during this month’s Domestic Worker Networking meeting.

“She gave amazing ideas like keeping your plastic bags in an old tissue box, using toilet roll tubes for storage of small items (easily marked) and stop your clothes slipping off the hanger by using craft pipe cleaners on the ends,” said Sharron Dingle the public relations officer for the Fourways store.

“We then presented the February 2018 Domestic of the Month award, which went to Nomsa Mncube.

“She was actually oblivious to the fact that she had won as we had received the nomination from her employer, Chelene Skopelitis directly and she insisted on being present when we presented it. Nomsa was so surprised when we called her up to receive her certificate and voucher and could not stop smiling. There is an amazing April 2018 planned for the domestic network.” Sharron concluded.

Nomsa Mncube was awarded Domestic of the Month for February by her employer Chelene Skopelitis.
