Cure Day Clinics comes to burn victim’s aid

The clinic said it plans to undertake similar projects in the future as part of its commitment to helping those in need.

Following a successful surgical procedure involving a young burn victim, Cure Day Clinics Fourways and Children of Fire continue to bring smiles to those who need them the most.

The clinic, which specialises in same-day surgery and cure, has certainly exhibited its commitment to helping those in need by providing free surgery to the young boy who was a victim of a fire lantern burn when he was just an infant.

“Our hearts were saddened by the story of this young boy,” said Thoulla Chrysochou, marketing and PR manager at Cure Day Clinics Fourways.

Dr Ridwan Mia, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, as well as an anaesthetist, Dr Luqmaan Variawa, generously stepped in to help the young boy by providing him with a progression of surgeries that will need to be performed in order to better his life.

“His happy spirit brought smiles to everyone’s faces,” said Chrysochou.
