15-year-old school girl killed in hit and run collision near Lanseria
LANSERIA – When paramedics arrived, a flight attendant from Lanseria was busy performing CPR on the victim.
At approximately 3.24pm on Thursday, 24 January, Netcare 911 responded to reports that a learner had been knocked down on the R540 near the R512 intersection in the Lanseria area.
Reports from the scene allege that a vehicle struck the 15-year-old school girl and fled the scene.
According to, Nick Dollman, Netcare inland media liaison, when paramedics from Netcare 911 and another service arrived at the scene, a flight attendant from Lanseria was busy performing CPR on the victim. The victim’s injuries were too severe and she died at the scene.
The victim was wearing school uniform and the incident occurred approximately five hundred meters from the school that she allegedly attended.
The police were at the scene and are investigating the incident.
