EFF’s H&M protest sparks differing views

JOBURG – People voice their opinions following reports and footage of the EFF’s protest of H&M.

On Saturday afternoon members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) stormed H&M stores across Johannesburg. The protests are seemingly a response to the recent advertising campaign by the Swedish company.

Video footage of the protests showing members of the EFF destroying H&M’s property has surfaced on social media. The footage shows EFF members violently destroying merchandise at shopping centres in Menlyn, Sandton and Midrand.

Following reports and footage of the protests, people took to social media to voice their opinions on the EFF’s action. The protests have sparked differing views with some supporting the EFF and some objecting to the party’s violent actions.
