Fourways Review plays its part in the Fourways Crossing teddy bear drive

FOURWAYS – Fourways Crossing's toy drive received a special donation from the staff at Caxton. Find out more here.

As the Fourways Crossing soft toy drive entered it’s final few days, the initiative received a helping hand from Caxton Publishing.

The staff of Caxton’s Joburg North offices in Craighall Park, including this publication, pulled together to collect about 60 more soft toys and teddy bears in a week, which will go to the Botshabelo Babies Home in Midrand as Christmas presents for the children cared for there.

“The festive season is a time for giving and when Fourways Crossing sounded the call, Fourways Review did not hesitate to join in the cause,” said Geshika Vorster, the public relations officer for Fourways Review who organised the Caxton collection.

“We are so honoured to be part of this initiative with Fourways Crossing, and this coming Monday cannot wait to see the smiles on the faces of the little cuties at Botshabelo,” added Vorster, referring to the official handover, which took place at the home on 18 December.

Hundreds of soft toys and teddies have been donated by residents, businesses and the community since November in support of this initiative.

“We’re very pleased with the public response to our drive,” said Larissa Pillay, marketing manager for the Fourways Crossing Shopping Centre.

“I can’t wait for the children to get their new furry friends for Christmas.”
