Give a toy to a needy child this Christmas

FOURWAYS – The Fourways Main Reef Rotary's toy drive is back again! Find out how you can get involved here!

As the festive season approaches, it is important to remember those less fortunate who may not have such a merry Christmas.

With this in mind, Fourways Main Reef Rotary Club is appealing to residents to please donate to the club’s annual toy drive, which will see gifts handed out to the less fortunate and needy children.

“The more toys we collect, the more children will receive joy this Christmas,” explained Stephen Margo of the Fourways Main Reef Rotary Club.

“What people need to remember is that 99 per cent of the kids that Rotary will be giving gifts to have never had anything to call their own in their lives. Donations will make such a difference to these children.”

Gifts will be given to a number of registered children’s organisations and creches in Diepsloot and a home for mentally challenged children which is supported by local radio station MixFM.

Members of the public are welcome to make donations of new toys until 20 December.

Presents should be aimed at girls and boys aged from babies until 11 years of age and there is no need to wrap the gifts.

“If you do wrap the presents before you hand them over, please can you clearly label the age group and gender that the toy is aimed at as this makes it easier for us to sort and distribute them.”

Donations can be dropped off at the Norscot Manor offices situated on the corner of Leslie Road and William Nicol Drive.

Details: Stephen Margo 076 030 2342.
