Police have confirmed a 42-year-old woman was hijacked this morning, 4 October, at 10am in a Chartwell driveway while waiting for the gate to open.
Police said she was approached by two armed men wearing balaclavas.
The suspects demanded that she hand over her jewellery. They took her earrings and her vehicle. The suspects were driving a black BMW 3 series and no shots were fired, police said.

Earlier reports on social media suggested a child was also in the car when the woman was hijacked. However, this was not confirmed by police.
