DAINFERN - There have been reports of an alleged bomb scare in Dainfern with police and emergency services at the scene.

The Dainfern Square shopping centre in Fourways has, according to residents on Twitter, been evacuated following an alleged bomb scare in the area.

Jean Berdou, chairperson of CPF Douglasdale, says night guard managed to clear building in 5 min. Explosive dogs have just arrived. No suspicious devices, or people. Appeal to public to be calm while dogs sweep the building. No injuries have been reported.

Douglasdale spokesperson Mpho Kgasoane said, “We received information regarding the bomb scare at Dainfern square this afternoon. The bomb squad arrived on the scene and so far they have found nothing but we are continuing with the investigation.
Further statement will be release in due process.”
