The Douglasdale police are appealing for the public to help them to identify the body of an unknown man, aged between 25 and 30 years, who was found on William Nicol Drive two weeks ago.
The body was found on William Nicol Drive in Fourways at approximately 6 pm on 27 July.
“The police received information regarding the incident and upon arrival at the scene, the deceased was certified dead by the paramedics. The victim sustained several bullet wounds in the upper body,” said Captain Mpho Kgasoane, spokesperson for the Douglasdale Police Station.
“The motive behind the incident is not yet known and no arrests have been made,” added Kgasoane. The body was taken to the government mortuary and police investigations are continuing.
“We appeal to community members whose relatives may be missing to come forward. Anyone with information that might assist the police investigations [can] contact Douglasdale police.”
