Caring for the elderly with the Flower Foundation Retirement Homes

Hirsch’s Fourways visited Silver Stream Village in Randburg as part of their 67 minutes for Mandela Day, in collaboration with Flower Foundation Retirement Homes.

“Deon Bruwer, the manager of the village, arranged for us to bring the elderly soup and rolls. Bread rolls were donated by the amazing and generous Spar Pineslopes in Fourways,” said Sharron Dingle, public relations officer for Hirsch’s Fourways.

Ayakha Thusini baked cupcakes and muffins, and Melanie Gounden made homemade hand cream which she paired with motivational quotes in picture frames.

“The residents of Silver Stream Village made a massive impact on Hirsch’s staff with the way they take care of each other,” said Dingle.
