Concerned residents have asked many questions about the Lonehill Fire Station, and Member of the Mayoral Committee Michael Sun wants to put the public at ease.

“We confirm that the Lonehill fire engine is back in the workshop for repairs. The workshop is currently waiting for spare parts. We are doing our best to expedite this job card. In the meantime, the area of Lonehill will be covered by the next available station and engine as per standard procedure,” said Sun.

In a previous article published by Fourways Review, Sun confirmed that the engine had been repaired and returned to the fire station. When new technical issues arose, the engine was sent back for further repairs. According to Sun, the workshop is waiting for spare parts for the current repair.

After allegations were doing the rounds that the Lonehill fire engine had not been returned to Lonehill Fire Station after a fire broke out in the Monte Pollino complex in Beverley. However, Sun confirmed that the fire engine was returned but has gone in for new repairs since then.
