Mentoring at its finest

FOURWAYS – If you are a young woman in need of mentorship the 'All About Us' Women community upliftment project is something to look into. Read here for more information.

‘All About Us’ Women is a community upliftment initiative started by entrepreneur Gadifele Moeng who wished she had a mentor as a young girl.

Professional speaker Audrey Mphela said the ‘All About Us’ Women event that took place at Platinum Lounge in Randburg on 3 June was epic. She explained that the ‘All About Us’ Women initiative assigns mentors to young girls in their specific area of interest.

Entrepreneurs like Audrey Mphela, Sinah Siaga, Nkanteko Mabindisi and Lindiwe Madida shared their achievements as well as the challenges they have faced. This inspired the young women from Cosmo City Secondary School to venture into entrepreneurship. Mentors who were assigned to the young women contacted the school teachers from Cosmo City Secondary School and will meet with the girls when the school opens.

Moeng believes women can give a lot to the world if they are mentored at an early age. She wants to be the mentor she never had together with a group of women who are willing to groom our future leaders. “Coming from a disadvantaged background myself I know these girls [have a lot of potential]. If they have mentors they will be better equipped for the future,” she said.

This opportunity is open to young women from all walks of life, who are keen to be mentored. Entrepreneurs who want to be mentors can contact ‘Áll About Us’ Women.
