Guests enjoy a musical experience of a different kind with new music website, SoundBite

JOBURG - Their vision has always been to create a platform which gives both aspiring artists and music lovers an opportunity to connect and interact

Celebrities, media personnel and special guests recently had the opportunity to experience an exciting new music website platform called SoundBite. It has been designed for up-and-coming unsigned local artists, or those signed to their own record labels at Dakota Lee Bar in Kramerville, Sandton.

The exciting new music website platform hopes to discover fresh South African talent by providing a powerful platform to seamlessly connect fans to artists and give artists exposure through the KFC brand. The guests enjoyed sampling new music and sound from local artists.

This is how SoundBite works: Artists are invited to register on the website and upload their tracks onto the SoundBite platform. Music fans can access the platform and listen to 30-second SoundBites of their favourite tracks and have the power to control the charts through likes, shares and downloads to move the songs up and down the chart.

To unlock a full track, users need a unique code which they retrieve from a KFC till slip when they purchase a KFC Streetwise 2 or 3.

On the website, you can create a profile, upload, listen to, share and unlock undiscovered music. You can also create a playlist, view the weekly chart and share the tracks on social media.

“At KFC, we believe music and good food brings people together and we are no strangers to the local music scene. As a brand, we are always looking for new ways to create meaningful and lasting experiences for our customers,” said Thabisa Mkhwanazi, KFC corporate affairs director for Africa.
