Former news editor has turned romance novel author

FOURWAYS – Former Caxton news editor's first contemporary romance novel has just been published.

Former Caxton news editor Zaheera Walker has published a contemporary romance novel, Beautiful Chaos.

She shared some of her insights and secrets regarding her masterpiece.

“Everyone wants to read a romance at some point in their lives. Better yet, they want to experience a love like no other. I guess I allowed my creative imagination to run away with me when I logged onto my Facebook account and saw a photo of someone who had the characteristics of my ideal Don Juan,” said Walker.

This is what got her creative juices flowing and she decided to write Beautiful Chaos. Her message goes out to young men and women, her target audience.

“Ideally, I want the book to reach young men and women who are afraid to speak their hearts and minds where love is concerned. Through this book I want them to seize the day, and not waste time.”

Walker has already started to work on her new book and hopes to publish it in 2018. She also aspires to help young writers to get their work published and on the shelves of bookstores.

“The best part is when emerging artists look up to me for encouragement. This is my passion and my dream. I am living it the best way I can,” Walker explained.

Walker said writing the book taught her some important lessons of life. “If I didn’t write this book I know I would have regretted it.”

Walker’s message to her readers is, “Decide what you want out of life, find people who will become the wind beneath your wings and show the world that you are enough. Never, ever allow someone to steal your dreams.”
