32-year-old man shot and killed in his Norscot driveway

NORSCOT– A man was shot and killed in front of his family in Norscot.

A 32-year-old man was shot and killed in his driveway in Norscot, in a boomed-off area known as Green Park, on the evening of 19 May and four suspects are still at large.

According to the head of communications for the Douglasdale Police Station, Captain Mpho Kgasoane, it was alleged that the deceased was on his way out with his family when they came across an unidentified vehicle with approximately four unknown occupants inside.

“The deceased victim then got out of the vehicle to check what was happening and one of the suspects also got out of their vehicle and shot at the deceased,” Kgasoane said, who added that the deceased victim was certified dead at the scene.

“The motive behind the incident is still yet unknown and no arrests have been made yet. However, a case of murder is under investigation at the police station and we appeal to community members with any information who might assist our investigation to contact the station.
