LONEHILL– Read about a local school which helped out another.

Crawford Lonehill Pre-Primary School donated three bakkie loads of secondhand school furniture to the Riversands Primary School on 12 May.

This comes after the the pre-primary school’s official move to its new school premises on 2 May.

Due to the school’s relocation, a good amount of secondhand school furniture was put aside to be donated.

The furniture donated was immediately allocated to classrooms at Riversands where it was put to good use. Furniture donated included bookshelves, chairs, desks and cupboards.

This wonderful initiative was made possible by the school’s estate manager, Elias Seleka, and the school’s groundsman, Marcus Ngoepe, who both dedicated their busy morning and afternoon to assist with the duty of loading and delivering of the furniture to Riversands Primary School.
