The police advised community members to consider the following tips:

  • Always lock your door when you leave your house or when you are at home
  • Main doors should be fitted with strong locks
  • Ask neighbours to keep an eye on your property when you are not at home
  • Always insist on seeing the identification cards of callers who claim to be government officials
  • Never open doors to strangers
  • Report any suspicious characters to the police.

“I wish everyone a wonderful Easter and remember to help the police to make your area safe, as we believe that together we can act against crime, and if you do not buy stolen goods you can help stop crime,” Kgasoane concluded.
