Picnic for business in Bryanston
BRYANSTON– Read about what took place at the recent The North Side Lifestyle social picnic.
Community members recently enjoyed a day of relaxation and leisure at The North Side Lifestyle social event where people got together at a laid-back, yet, exciting picnic.
It was packed with entertainment – from deejays offering smooth sounds to different pop-up stores affording guests the opportunity to buy and sample their products.
According to Veejay Jajula, owner of Afro Bhan Thai Spa which is based in Riverside Shopping Centre in Bryanston, the event targeted sophisticated urbanites who enjoy the outdoors.
“The picnic created a platform not only for the guests to socialise and enjoy the entertainment but also to support new business or small business that showcased their products,” Jajula said.
She added that the picnic also helped to promote their merchandise of a social initiative nature which has a positive impact on society.

When asked what her pop-up goals were at the picnic, Jajula said revenue generation, brand awareness and customer engagement.
Regarding the benefits of doing a pop-up and what the picnic offered, Jajula explained that it was to test a new revenue stream, engage with customers offline, to create a ‘get it while it lasts’ urgency, to market merchandise around a sale, season, or holiday; educate new customers, to go where your customers are and to generate brand awareness.
