Body seen hanging from tree near Diepsloot Mall

FOURWAYS – Taxi passenger spots man who hanged himself from a tree next to Diepsloot Mall.

 

A man allegedly hanged himself next to Diepsloot Mall. Fourways Review learnt of the incident after an anonymous taxi commuter contacted the news team via WhatsApp. The taxi passenger told the Review that he saw the man hanging from a tree as the taxi he was in, drove past the mall from Diepsloot on William Nicol Drive.

Diepsloot police spokesperson, Constable Jenny Morata said, “The deceased and his brother allegedly had a fight over money that he owed. Approximately R4 000.”

The deceased could not pay the money, and this morning at 5am he took his life. The family and friends of the deceased are at the scene and are distraught at the way their loved one died
