Sharing a piece of the entrepreneurial pie

FOURWAYS – Read how Hirsch's Fourways adds fun to their business networking sessions.

On the first Saturday of every month, Hirsch’s Fourways hosts a free live demo event in an attempt to showcase local business talent, share skills and connect local entrepreneurs.

In line with the month of love, Hirsch’s Fourways held a Valentine’s Day business event where Nikita Gower from Cakeology wowed the crowd with her examples of baking goods and showed guests how to add magic to a Valentine’s Day chocolate cake.

“A decadent spread of various chocolate treats, as well as various other treats, adorned the show table for visitors to enjoy. A lucky draw was held for the demo cake which was won by Agnes Molaoli,” said Sharron Dingle of Hirsch’s Fourways.

Gower said, “It allowed the community to participate in a live demo as well as to taste and enjoy all the baking items on offer. It helped create more fun [among customers] and make others aware of my business.”

Dingle said, “We also highlighted our [Hirsh’s] networking and domestic workshops as face-to-face [sessions] work better than email. This, of course, has its own benefits in growing people in real, measurable ways.”
