Kingsmead College Junior School’s equestrian team competed at Eaton Farm in Kyalami for the first qualifier on 11 and 12 February.
The qualifier was hosted by the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (Sansa).
Twelve girls competed across a range of disciplines and five girls were placed in the top third of their classes, earning extra points for the Kingsmead team.

Makhutsi Moloi was placed third in Level 0 Working Riding on Arizona Sun; Rania Motara was placed fourth in Level 1 Performance Riding on Bedazzled; and Lesedi Moloi was placed third in Level 1 Working Riding on Copper Creek, second in Level 1 In Hand Utility with Arizona Sun, as well as fifth and eighth in Level 1 Performance Riding on Foreign Reserve and Ebisu Sharak.
Jade Anderson was placed second in both Level 1 Prix Caprilli classes on Galaxy Man, second and fourth in her two Level 1 Dressage classes with Galaxy Man, and Ella Hunt was placed first in Level 3 Dressage and fourth in Level 3 Equitation on Summertime.
