Ward 94 councillor David Foley and community members conducted a clean-up of Witkoppen Spruit Park on 4 February.
They cleaned up the litter, cut the grass and tidied up overgrown bushes in the park.
“Joburg City Park and Zoo also arrived to assist with the grass cutting,” said Foley.

On 8 February workers cut grass in areas which lawnmowers could not get to.
“We will establish an environmental donations fund, through the community, in order to maintain a pristine park. This will give bird life and plants a chance to flourish in the park and the community can enjoy it as well.”
