ROSEBANK – A high tea to equip budding entrepreneurs.

 

Women in business are invited to spend a day engaging in conversation and sharing ideas at the Sisters in Excellence Networking High Tea on 28 January.

According to the organiser, Gratitude Skwambane who is an entrepreneur, the day will focus on conversations around balancing business and relationships, networking and sharing ideas on various industries and self-awareness.

“We will have conversations that don’t normally occur on how to juggle all these aspects and come up with winning formulas,” she said. “Speakers will share their personal stories and guests will be given an opportunity to engage and ask questions.”

Skwambane added that often for start-up businesses it was overwhelming to engage with well-established business owners and the high tea would be an opportunity for budding businesswomen with small businesses to share and compare notes but mostly to connect and grow together.

Some of the speakers will include Jayshree Naidoo, Retha Booyens and Nqobile Tshalata, owner of the clothing label Dainty Frocks.

The high tea will be held at the Standard Bank Incubator situated at 5 Cradock Avenue in Rosebank. Tickets are on sale at R200 per person and the event is expected to commence at 10am. Light refreshments will be served.
