Family and friends recently gathered at the Big Fat Family Festival at the Stables Village Market in Chartwell.

The fun-filled affair saw young and old explore what the 50 stalls with distinctive ware had to offer. Some of the popular stalls such as Navy Heart, showcased a collection of handcrafted leather bags, while Doek on Fleek offered a range of accessories and fashion.

The guests also enjoyed fresh organic produce which the market prides itself on, as the families dined the day away. The market not only stocks organic produce but also offers refreshments including craft beer from their bar, champagne tasting, Mexican dishes, sushi, pizza and freshly squeezed juices.

“This market has a homely setup as it is a place where families can come, bond and have fun with no pressure of going back home. We thoroughly enjoyed the Big Fat Family Festival as it serves as something different in the community. We hope that this will be a hit with the community,” said Marie Yossava, a friend of the owners.

Community members are welcome to visit the village market which is open during the week and weekends.
