Cluny Farm gets R5 000 donation

KYALAMI - Cluny Farm Centre received a generous R5 000 cheque donation from the High Commissioner of Guyana.

Cluny Farm Centre was graced by the presence of the High Commissioner of Guyana (in South America) Dr Cyril Hunte on 16 November where he donated a cheque for R5 000.

Hunte was accompanied by his right-hand woman, Surrel Briel and Anel Enslin from Grand Central Motors. He had received the cheque from Grand Central Motors as a gift after purchasing his new Chrysler vehicle. Instead of pocketing the money, Hunte nominated the centre to receive it as a donation.

The director of the centre Kingsley Segoale took Hunte on a tour around the premises and was welcomed in Symphony House where the older residents were entertained by his down to earth attitude, and even took pictures with them.

After the tour, Hunte and his entourage did not go home on empty stomachs as they were treated to the centre’s home baked biscuits before he left. “It was such a lovely experience and Cluny Farm is grateful for the donation received from Dr Hunte and Grand Central Motors Midrand, as well as the visit,” read a statement by the centre.
