Schoolchildren receive prestigious awards
FOURWAYS – Two schoolchildren have received awards that the school hasn't received in years. Read to see what the awards are.
Two schoolchildren of HeronBridge College were awarded at the Overall Vocal Awards.
They beat out other school-goers from Johannesburg North to come out tops in the junior and senior divisions.
Joshua Parker, in Grade 11 and a Fourways resident, won the Prestige Award for Overall Top Vocal Performer in the senior division and ranked fifth in the top 10 of the region.
Benjamin Wood, in Grade 5, who lives in Dainfern, won the Prestige Award for Overall Top Vocal Performer in the junior division and ranked third in the top 10 of the region.
The school’s management said that none of their schoolchildren had ever won such awards at their school.
