An extravaganza of Light to take Mall Of Africa by storm

The Waterfall Park located at the Mall of Africa will soon be home to an extravaganza of lights, music and local and international talent this festive season.
Families are invited to enjoy the Fantasy of Light extravaganza from 25 November to 24 December. The park’s amphitheatre will be transformed into a spellbinding wonderland of extraordinary lights and visual effects, Christmas decorations, and a music and creative stage production that grandparents, parents and children can enjoy.

The majestic nine-foot set by Juan Boshoff, 104 colourful costumes, 22km strings of twinkling fairy lights, a giant stage, 12 metres of captivating Christmas ornaments, a unique 160-metre waterfall of cascading lights and a world-class concert will all contribute towards a dazzling experience like none before.
The ambiance will be set by the original festive music composed by the internationally acclaimed composer, Bernadette Vercellino, and music producer Brendan Jury, will be the backdrop to a humorous fantasy with a gripping storyline and characters that will conquer audiences’ hearts from the get-go.
With outstanding choreography by Weslee Lauder and cheerful outfits by Delene Holt, Heidi du Toit of Hollywood Costumes, and Mercedes de Bruyn, will give life to this pantomime brainchild of one of the country’s most famous actresses, Lizz Meiring.
Meiring is also the director of this project, along with producer Rudi Kesting of Production Projects and Juan Boshoff.
The shows will take place under the starry sky from Monday to Sunday. Gates will open at 6pm.
