Top Cop Awards are put in place to acknowledge the Douglasdale Police Station’s police officers or members who go beyond the call of duty, putting their lives on the line for the safety and security of community members and, nominated for Best Vispol (internal), is Sergeant Moloko Thema.
According to Colonel Alpheus Mohale, Thema is working inside in the community service centre, and she also assists in the operational room.
“Sergeant Thema is always willing to help members of the community and is always smiling at them and is seen as very approachable. She is always committed and willing to help her own co-workers,” Mohale said.
He added that Thema is skilled enough to work in the community service centre and operational room. “Being friendly is always seen as a good skill one should possess and I can say that Sergeant Thema has that, as she is approachable and has a positive attitude.”
Mohale further added that Thema is always there to assist her seniors, which is not within her job description.
“Sergeant Thema deserves to be nominated as the Top Cop of the Month, as she takes her job very seriously, is a hard worker and aims to keep the community crime free,” said Mohale.
