A visit to Lonehill Fire Station

LONEHILL – Read to find out who paid a visit to the Lonehill Fire Station.

Ward 94 Democratic Alliance (DA) councillor, David Foley along with the MMC for Public Safety, Michael Sun and senior Metro police officers paid a visit to the Lonehill fire station on 14 October.

“I am here with the MMC of Public Safety, Michael Sun, Region A Director Abigail Ndlovu, senior ranked emergency officials, senior ranked Metro officials and the staff of the Lonehill fire station,” Foley explained.

He added that the aim behind their visit was to see if everything was fully functional and what the other needs of the fire station were.

“We can, however, confirm that right now what the fire station needs is a swimming pool pump which is broken and some monthly pool chemicals to ensure that the hot summer months can be used for exercise and relaxation between the stressful callouts.”

Foley expressed that he hoped the community would grow closer to the fire station as the station as its firemen have been seen to try their level best to serve and help out the community.
