In their bid to eradicate illegal activity and crime in the community, Metro police conducted a stop and search operation in Region E, Alexandra as well as Ext 7 in Tsutsumani on the evening of 11 October.

According to MMC for Public Safety, Michael Sun, Metro police recovered two illegal firearms with rounds, a shotgun, a .38 revolver and false number plates.

“During the stop and search, three suspects were arrested and charged at Alexandra Police Station. With this search we are showing the community that we will fight tooth and nail as the department of public safety to restore law and order in the city of Johannesburg,” Sun concluded.
