Cure Day Clinics Fourways performed its first free operation on a child who had developed a stiff shoulder after being burnt in a fire.

Thoulla Chrysochou, marketing and public relations manager of the clinic said the victim was now able to move the shoulder. “Cure Day Clinics Fourways helped a child in need with life-changing surgery.

“Baby Micah was severely burned at a young age, and with the help of our loyal doctors and staff, we were able to operate on Micah and remove some debilitating scar tissue.”

The reconstructive surgery was performed by the clinic’s plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr Mark Steinmann and anaesthetic Dr Glenmarie de Wet.

Chysochou said she was not at liberty to disclose the circumstances surrounding the burning of Micah due to their confidentiality clause. Neither could she disclose where Micah lived nor when he was burned.
