Cure Day Clinic launches in Fourways

FOURWAYS – Cure Day Clinics open their first facility in Fourways.

LONEHILL – The Cure Day Clinics Group recently opened their first day hospital in Johannesburg, in Fourways, making it their eighth day clinic in the country.

Speaking at the launch, which was held in Lonehill on 22 June, Bert von Wielligh, managing director of the group said, “We have been extremely busy the past eight years to fulfil our vision of establishing a national footprint in South Africa.

“We know we made the right decision to open a facility in Fourways and we hope this facility will have harmony and balance and it will prosper in abundance.”

Oscar Shimange, chairman of the group explained that day surgery facilities had transformed the surgical experience for millions of patients throughout the world by providing a more convenient, cost- and time-saving alternative to hospital-based surgery. “Our day clinics are positioned in the healthcare market of South Africa to provide affordable day service to doctors, patients and their families.

“Our model has been proven by our established day clinics, but we have to acknowledge the support of our doctors in our ventures.”

According to Shimange, the Cure Day Clinic in Fourways had the support of 15 doctors. He added that the project would not have succeeded without the support and cooperation received from the Department of Health, as well as a number of shareholders, medical company representatives, developers and their construction and engineering teams, staff members and financing institutions.

The opening in Lonehill was attended by a number of many prestigious guests such as specialists, GPs, dentists, various heads of medical aids, the Department of Health and various investors.
