To commemorate Youth Day, Junior Colleges Gardens recently gave 20 pupils from the Daily Bread Organisation, a safe house for children from Msawawa Informal Settlement, a chance to participate in a wellness and fitness programme at their school.

Led by Dean Krossynski, a coach from Superkids, the pupils braved the cold to take part in fun activities outside. They were then entertained by well-known magician, Darin McDowall, who warmed the children up with good laughs.

Elizabeth Steenkamp, principal of the school, ended the morning by handing out gloves, scarves and beanies, which were collected by the school, to the pupils of the organisation.
