Pupil on top of the world

FOURWAYS - A pupil of Lonehill Academy since 2014, Jessie Badham is the best in the world for language and literature in Cambridge AS Level.

Jessie Badham, a pupil of Lonehill Academy, recently received her results for the Cambridge International Examinations in language and literature exams she took last year in November.

Badham achieved the highest mark in the world in the Cambridge AS Level, which is equivalent to Grade 12, and also scored the highest mark in the country for business studies at Cambridge AS Level in the same examination period.

Badham’s hard work and consistent focus clearly paid off, allowing her to outperform thousands of other candidates in Cambridge Schools around the world, all while achieving this at the tender age of 15.

Lonehill Academy said they are proud to have played a part in Badham’s achievement and the staff of the academy congratulated her on her fantastic achievement and wished her continued success in all of her endeavours.

Director of Lonehill Academy, Derick van der Schyf, said the recent awards recognised Badham’s talent, dedication and commitment, and congratulated other pupils, staff and teachers at Lonehill Academy who worked hard to achieve success in the Cambridge International Examinations.

The academy also extended a special congratulations and appreciation to Badham’s parents, Mark and Kerrin, for their unfailing support and devotion which facilitated this outstanding achievement.

Cambridge Senior Schools’ development manager Sub-Saharan Africa, Mark Barber said, “It is extremely rewarding to congratulate Jessie and her teachers who have worked so hard to achieve tremendous success in the Cambridge Examinations.”
