Tau delivered the pre-address at the Emoyeni Conference Centre in Parktown on 3 May.
Metro news journalist Belinda Pheto was in attendance at the pre-address and tweeted as Tau prepared to deliver his final State of the City Address. The address will be delivered on 4 May at Turfontein Race Course.
It is expected that the address will reflect on the progress that the City of Johannesburg has made during the past five years. Tau is also expected to touch on the direction the City will take in implementing the Growth and Development Strategy – Joburg 2040.
