Unity pupils enjoy a sweet treat

BROADACRES – Unity College pupils are surprised with a sweet treat

Pupils of Unity College were in for a sugar high when Tanya Myburgh, a resident of the community, surprised them with a cake worth R2 200.

Michelle Kirk, advancement officer at the school, explained that the cake had been lovingly made by Myburgh and used in a photographic course earlier on in the day.

“Tanya knew our children would get the most joy out of something so special,” Kirk said.

According to Kirk decorative cake making is simply a passion and hobby for Myburgh, and what she did was truly amazing.

Kirk said, “Tanya Myburgh had no relation to the school but was doing something sweet for her community. She surprised the admin staff by coming in and willy-nilly handing it over.”

Kirk thanked Myburgh for her kindness and generosity.
