Join FCF’s Operation Clean Bridge

FOURWAYS – Future City Fourways (FCF), a registered non-profit organisation which is community funded and provides private street cleaning and area maintenance, invites local residents, businesses, schools, neighbourhood watches and other security organisations to join Operation Clean Bridge.

The operation, which will be hosted on 12 March from 8am to 12pm, will see members of the community and FCF cleaning up Witkoppen Bridge and the section of William Nicol Drive which runs under the bridge.

Run by concerned Fourways’ stakeholders, FCF aims to also add increased visible policing on William Nicol Drive and Witkoppen Road to reduce bylaw and traffic law infringements and crime.

Operation Clean Bridge also aims to build up the community, create awareness of environmental and human health and encourage law enforcement.

The clean-up will entail removing plants flourishing in the crevices of the bridge, scrubbing the bridge’s fire-blackened walls, removing litter around the area, spraying and sanitising walls and pavements and law enforcement conducted with motorists in the area.

Razorite Medical Centre in Fourways, a corporate social investment partner of FCF, will also provide glucose and cholesterol testing to the first 200 participants who visit their gazebo at Fourways Crossing.

All volunteers wanting to assist on the day must meet outside Eagle Fall Spur at Fourways Crossing at 8am for briefing instructions.
