Beaulieu College pupil receives nine distinctions

KYALAMI - Beaulieu College pupil, Andrew Musk (17) made his school proud when he obtained nine distinctions for his final matric results.

Head of marketing of Beaulieu College, Lynette Gray said, “Musk did not feel he was under pressure because of his famous cousin Elon, who is a business magnate, engineer, inventor and investor. Instead, his peers and teachers put a lot of pressure on him because he was one of the smartest pupils at school, but he did not allow this to distract him from reaching his goals.

“He expressed that there was pressure among peers and people who expected him to do well because of his marks.”

The Lonehill resident plans to study applied mathematics or information technology at Stanford or Berkeley University in the United States of America, which he chose because of their calibre of universities.

“Musk is not only academically inclined, but he was also a member of the student representative council and played golf, hockey, cricket and football,” Gray said.
