Survey reveals families love Wimpy

JOHANNESBURG – According to a survey conducted by the South African Customer Satisfaction Index (SAcsi), Wimpy South Africa was ranked the best in the full-service family restaurants category.

Many South Africans have a traditional Wimpy lunch stop-over while going on a long road trip, and a recent survey proves that they really do enjoy every moment. A total of 1 788 customers were surveyed from a number of restaurants around the country such as Mugg & Bean, Ocean Basket, Spur and Wimpy to name a few. Wimpy scored the top spot with a reliability score of 83.6 out of 100.

Karabo Morudu, brand manager of Wimpy SA said, “We are honoured and proud to be part of this prestigious list. This means that our customers are happy with the quality of service they are receiving and are also happy with the price that they are paying for the service we are giving them.”

The survey was published on the online website, All 4 Women, and a key factor in choosing the best of the best was the SAcsi measurement of customer satisfaction in complaints made by customers about each restaurant.

“The family restaurant industry has scored well overall in terms of complaints handling but I would advise brands to take a closer look at improving quality and service delivery,” said professor André Schreuder from SAcsi.
