Headed by Andrea Lemmer, a Grade 10 pupil of the college, the day included a game of soccer and a musical lesson.
Lemmer said, “The very excited children were collected at 1.30pm from their school and brought to Dainfern College to enjoy an afternoon of wholesome foods, prepared by volunteers of Dainfern College.”
Lemmer urged Dainfern College pupils to reach out to those less fortunate. “I want to encourage the students of Dainfern College to please make a concerted effort to reach out to our less fortunate communities on an ongoing basis as changing the lives of others, even just for a day, can make a huge difference in their lives, the decisions they might make and therefore the outcome of their future,” she said.
The day ended off with fun group photos and an early dinner.
