WATER UPDATE: Outages in Fourways, Sandton and Dunkeld West

JOBURG - Johannesburg Water confirmed that water supply across Joburg was normal on 19 November however there are unplanned and planned outages taking place in various suburbs today.

Johannesburg Water said reservoir levels across Joburg are in a satisfactory position.

There is a planned water outage in progress in Fourways and Bryanston in order for workers to repair a burst on the inlet to Morningside and Bryanston reservoirs.

Beverley, Pineslopes, Lonehill, Fourways, Fourways Gardens, Witkoppen and extensions, Douglasdale and extensions, Norscot, Craigavon, Magaliessig, Bryanston and extensions, Bryanston East and West, Solridge, Millhill, Dainfern, Country life park, Kramerview, Clevehill Park, Petervale and Epsom downs are affected.

The outage is scheduled to end at 8pm.

Dunkeld West is also experiencing an outage in order for Johannesburg Water to implement a tie-in to the existing water main for a new development.

The outage started at 9am and is scheduled to end at 4pm.

Lonehill’s water will be out from 9am to 4pm in order for workers to replace pipes in the area.

Riverclub will also be without water from 9am to 4pm today in order for pipe replacement to take place.

Johannesburg Water reiterated that Level 2 water restrictions are still in place and must be adhered to.

Residents are urged to continue reducing their water usage and use water sparingly.
