The fun-filled visit to the daycare was part of the group’s community service project. The project, selected as part of the National Cub Challenge programme, saw the Cubs collect books and toys which were donated to the centre.
This challenge encourages Cub packs around the country to identify and partner with early childhood development centres and find out what their needs are.
The special visit also saw bookshelves and a whiteboard installed at the daycare, which looks after 45 children from the community, thanks to the supervision of adult leaders and some parents from the community.
The 1st Bryanston Scout Group is a scouting group which aims to equip young people with the skills and self-confidence to become future leaders in their communities and it does this through hosting outdoor educational activities.
