Red ladies to host family picnic for Shumbashaba Charity

KYALAMI - Red Ladies, a charity organisation comprising a collection of friends connected by a common purpose, will host a family picnic where Copperlake craft beer and gourmet sandwiches will be available at Lonely Oak, 51 Chattan Road Glenferness, Kyalami on 25 October.

Each member of the organisation wants to make a difference, big or small, in the lives of those less fortunate, whether it be the lives of people or animals. Each month, the organisation donates money to a chosen charity and two or three times a year they have an event or fundraiser for a chosen charity.

This year, the organisation will support Shumbashaba Charity, which takes children from Diepsloot who have physical and mental disabilities and conducts therapy with them through the use of horses at Shillelagh Farm, Diepsloot Agricultural Holdings.

Red Ladies invites community members to come and enjoy a fun day out with family and friends in the country’s sunshine, as all proceeds made on the day will go to the charity. You need only bring along your own picnic blanket and umbrella.

There will be pony rides for the kids, face painting, a jumping castle, a photo booth and a big screen showing the rugby semifinal at 4pm, as well as good music and delicious food on sale.

Ticket bookings close on 19 October.
