Promise finally fulfilled by City Parks to clean up intersection

BRYANSTON – City Parks finally fulfilled their promise to clean up the William Nicol Drive and Main Road intersection in Bryanston.

This according to Ward 102 councillor David Potter, who has worked with Ward 104 councillor Mike Wood since last year, campaigning for City Parks to clean up the intersection. Potter said City Parks had made promises that the intersection would be upgraded after the clean-up, in due course.

At the intersection, City Parks has removed stones, planted and added square concrete blocks where pedestrians can walk with ease. The upgrades are not yet complete, however, the area looks cleaner and more presentable.

Potter said, “City Parks contractors have been onsite for the past several weeks.”

The councillors thanked the City for taking action. “We are hopeful that Johannesburg City Parks continues their intersection upgrade project across the city.”

No comment was received from City Parks by the time of publication.
