The sweetest way to save a life
FOURWAYS – Through their love of baking, non-profit organisation Cupcakes of Hope celebrated National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer on 26 September.
The organisation brightened up Fourways Mall with their bright and irresistible cupcakes, all in the name of raising funds for children with cancer. National Cupcake Day was celebrated in 70 malls across South Africa and all the money raised from cupcake sales will be used to assist the little ones.
Vimala Moodley, co-ordinator for cupcake sales at Fourways Mall, explained that the organisation aimed to create awareness of kids with cancer and raise funds for children with life-threatening diseases.
To date, the organisation has helped more than 200 patients with their medical and day-to-day expenses, and continues to sprinkle love on many cancer patients through hospital and birthday visits.
