TAKE NOTE: Bridge construction to take place on N1 highway
MIDRAND - Motorists are urged to take note that there will be traffic delays on the N1 highway on 22 and 23 August due to the construction of the N1 Bridal Veil Road Bridge.
On 22 and 23 August the N1 North-bound off-ramps will be affected by the construction of the bridge.
The lifting and placing of the beams is planned to take place during the daytime hours of 22 August.
Each placing of the beam will take 45 minutes and during that time, the affected lane will be closed for 15 minutes while the beam is being placed. The lane will then open for 30 minutes while the next beam is being prepared.
Motorists should expect delays if travelling this route.
The bridge construction will take place again on 5 and 6 September, when the N1 North-bound main carriageway will be affected.
