Kyalami’s latest food and wine market

KYALAMI - The Beer Garden and Food Market at Chefs on Main in Kyalami kicked off with family fun and entertainment.

The first installment of the market was on 28 June and stalls from around the area were packed with treats and games for the whole family to enjoy.

The MixMasters and The Pop Up Market teamed up to bring visitors a fun-filled Sunday at the craft beer garden. Kerry Corden, organiser from The Pop Up Market said they wanted to bring the community something new and fresh, “We want families to come and enjoy the fresh air. Don’t be cooped up inside the whole day,” instructed Corden.

Samantha Clarke who owns the Sand Art 4 U stall, said it was her mission to bring an educational toy to all the market’s little visitors. “Sand art is an educational tool that can keep children busy for hours while their parents enjoy the rest of the market.”

Karen Mason came all the way from Hartbeespoort to bring the people of Kyalami the decadent taste of waffles on a stick. “They are just yummy and delicious,” said a smiling Mason.

Craig Storm said he wanted to bring an ‘around the braai’ game for all ages, starting from six years old to 100 years old. Storm owns the Kings Vikings Chess stall, an interactive game that can be addictive he admits. “This is the most addictive garden game in generations,” he exclaimed.

The market was also an melodic affair as sounds of Cameron Bruce filled the air.
