Two children and one adult in critical condition after head-on collision

DIEPSLOOT - An adult and two children were left in a critical condition after a head on collision on the R511 at Mnandi Road in Diepsloot on the evening of 21 June.

ER24 Spokesperson Werner Vermaak said, “At approximately 6pm paramedics from ER24 and other services arrived on the scene where they found that a Toyota Corolla and an Isuzu bakkie collided head on with each other. It is believed that occupants from both vehicles were ejected during the collision.”

An emergency medical helicopter was called to the scene to airlift one of the children to hospital. He said the critically injured adult and remaining child were rapidly transported by ambulance.

He said five other patients were found on scene with moderate injuries. They were all assessed and treated for various injuries before being transported to hospital.
