HeronBridge girls spread joy

FOURWAYS – A TEAM of selfless Grade 10 girls gave the gift of joy to the children of Unity College.

The girls from HeronBridge College organised corporate funding to the value of R9 000, which was used to purchase the children at Unity College a colourful jungle gym, balls and a host of other fantastic toys.

The girls organised this as part of their schools programme which challenges Grade 10 pupils to plan and initiate an idea that will give back to the less-fortunate in the community.

Michelle Kirk of Unity College said they were very grateful for the gesture. “The generosity these well-mannered young ladies demonstrated will not be forgotten,” she said.

Unity College is an independent special needs school that was built by a non-profit company, and was established to give high quality education to children with learning difficulties or developmental delay.
